He is British, and appears thoughtful and intelligent. However, he is somewhat foolhardy, reserved, yet reckless. His eagerness to discover the existence of an alien lifeform proves to be his undoing. Kane is like a moth drawn to the flame, and his determined actions result in the destruction of the Nostromo.
