Kat Miller was a cop serving in Narcotics. While tossing a crack house she discovered a box of Vietnam War POW bracelets and called in Lt Stillman and the Cold Case team, as it related to an unsolved suspicious death from 1972.Stillman told Miller that he had heard she was doing good things in Narcotics and asked about her areas of interest within the force. She said she was game for whatever crops up and her options were open. Stillman eventually offered her a position with the Cold Case Squad, which she accepted, and she became a regular member of the team.
