Lauren Reed is the daughter of Senator Reed and works as a representative of the National Security Council in the L.A headquarters of the CIA, where her husband Agent Michael Vaughn and his ex-girlfriend Agent Sydney Bristow are serving as field agents. Born in the United States but raised in London, Reed has a British accent even though she is in fact, an American. Her acquaintance and marriage to Vaughn takes place in the time when Sydney is missing for two years, which explains the unexpressed feud between the two.
