Layla, like Sonny and all of his friends, is a law attorney, only she lets work run her life. She is shown to be a voice of reason particularily with her tempermental sister, Corrine. Unlike her sister, Layla is undiscriminitive and does not consider money as a desirable trait in a man. After awhile Layla gets aquainted with Sonny and Julien, she adores Julien and falls in love with Sonny despite her sisters comments. Layla chooses Sonny and Julien over work and later marries, the once unmotivated now grown-up, Sonny. They have one child together.
