Llewelyn Moss is a vietnam veteran who stumbles upon the aftermath of a drugs deal gone wrong in the desert. A lot of dead bodies, a dying drug dealer begging for agua , a huge stash of heroin and a case containing two million dollars. He takes the money back to his modest trailer park home where he lives with his wife Carla Jean (played by Kelly MacDonald) . However that evening in a fit of compassion he unwisely returns to the dying drug dealer to give him water. This is not the only time in the film where Llewelyns admirable ethics unfortunately end up landing him in deep trouble. From this point on he relies on his military experience and quick thinking as he struggles to stay one step ahead of his very formidable enemies.
