Maddie is a deaf and mute author, though she wasn't born this way. Her condition ony developed after she had gotten sick as a teen, believed to have been meningitis. As a mature women, she now lives in a secluded area, her closest friends and neighbors being John and Sarah, away from her parents and sister. She has only published one book and is working on the second one, utilizing the voice in her head that picks apart her plans and outlines the flaws in order for Maddie to pick the path that no one can predict. We can gleen that she is not very good at cooking, has a recent ex named Craig, has moderate upper body strength, and also has a long haired white cat named 'Bitch'.
