Major Mitch Hunter is one of few military survivors in a worldwide battle for global control between the corporations that now control its continents. He is a strong leader yet carries a lot of guilt for the men who have fallen under his orders and for having lost his best friend on the battleground.When the mutants begin their war for global dominance over the shattered remains of civilisation, he is tasked with leading an elite force behind enemy lines to find a way to stop the invasion, though it is clear to him from the beginning that this is considered a suicide mission that he will not likely return from, let alone a mission that has little chance of success.It is his selfless and fatalistic disposition that makes him such a hardened soldier, though he does occasionally show sympathy in desperate times, but Hunter is not fond of gallows humour or small talk as is made clear in one particular scene when his soldiers are backed into a corner.Lt.
