In The Mother of Tears Lachrymarum's home is revealed to be the Palazzo Varelli. In Inferno Lachrymarum attempted to spellbind Mark Elliot during a music lecture in Rome. She is only credited as a musical student. In The Mother of Tears Lachrymarum has been hibernating for centuries in Rome, and is awakened when Sarah Mandy opens the urn in which her relics (a red tunic, dagger, three statuettes) and ashes are stored. As her minions wreak havoc on the city above, Lachrymarum hides below ground in the basement of her Palazzo, regaining her strength. She is defeated when Sarah discovers the witch's subterranean lair and kills Lachrymarum by ripping the red tunic she wears, causing the Palazzo to collapse.
