Merritt McKinney is a hypnotist.He was revealed to have had a shelf life as a hypnotist when he was young and presumably had tried and failed to get into the Eye before, landing him in prison. He joined the Four Horsemen as a second attempt to get into the Eye. He played a key role in the giant illusion the Horsemen put on as the illusionist.Our first exposure to Merritt was when he hustled a man into $200 by getting him to admit an affair with his wife's sister. He was put in the Horseman as The Hermit . His hypnosis would help them through their year of magic.
