Metellus Cimber is an oft celebrated character for both his manipulation of Julius Caesar in his final moments and his stunningly sibilant name. He is remembered most for the plea he makes to Caesar asking for his recently banished brother Publius to be given permission to return to Rome. Metellus Cimber's plea allows the conspirators to ambush the distracted Caesar, who yet again appears arrogant and aloof.
