Sean Astin as Michael Mikey Walsh, the young leader of a gang of kids called 'The Goonies', who leads the group to find One-Eyed Willie's treasure. For the whole movie, he wears a gray shirt with a denim jacket and a pair of blue jeans. Although Mikey suffers from asthma, he continually acts as the group's never-ending supply of enthusiasm and spirit. It is his determination to save the Goon Docks that jumpstarts the film. Astin won a Young Artist Award for this role.
