Michael Tritter is a detective that goes through the hospitals clinic. House, in his usual demeanor, is irritated by Tritter and decides to take his temperature rectally. Tritter is upset with this and demand an apology from House, which House refuses to give. Tritter then begins to investigate House and his use of Vicodin. After catching House speeding on his bike and finding Vicodin on House, he arrests House, which House is bailed out by Wilson the next day. Tritter obtains a search warrant of Houses Apartment finding hundreds of Vicodin pills and charges House with intent to traffic among other things. Tritter then continues to harass House and other members of the hospital Staff, even causing Wilson to close his practice for a time. In the end, house is found innocent, due to perjury by Dr. Cuddy. Tritter is at the trial and is reprimanded by the judge for being spiteful. As House is being escorted to jail for a contempt charge, Tritter wishes House luck.
