Morgan Edge is a partner-in-crime of Lionel Luthor. He and Lionel hd known each other since they were both young men with evil aspirations. During this time, Lionel hired Edge to kill his parents so that he could gain the insurance money left behind. Edge grew to be a crime boss in Metropolis who once hired Clark, who was on the personality-changing red kryptonite at the time, to break into banks and give the money to him. Clark made attempts to expose Edge after getting off the red kryptonite but Edge as able to escape, even from a violent explosion. Though he required plastic surgery, Edge again worked for Lionel when challenged with the task of discovering what Clark had to hide. Interrogating Clark's best friend Pete Ross to the point of abuse, Lex Luthor had to stop Edge from doing anything worse. Edge's life of crime and city-slum working ended when the FBI stopped his Clark investigation.
