Husband of Winifred and father of Jane and Michael Banks. George W. Banks works as a bank clerk in a London bank, the long hours keep him away from home, while his wife Winifred plays a key role in the feminist movement, as such the family requires a nanny to look after their two young children, this nanny arrives in the form of Mary Poppins, however father and nanny don't always see eye-to-eye on how the children should be raised.
