Pastor Dave, the parish priest in Point Pleasant, the Wisconsin backwater where the series plays, is kind and young at heart, so he tries hard to show he has a heart for everyone, especially the kids, but still finds himself at the receiving end of rather too many pranks. To devout parishioner Kitty's dismay, the reverend finds most pleasure in joining the rather irreverend sports fan practices of her brutish husband Red, even to the point of reconsidering whether his clerical vocation is worth missing out on a regular life for.
