Persnikitty was the cat used by Happy Chapman in his TV show Good Day New York. He was trained in classical theater and prefers to call himself Sir Roland. Once he outlived his purpose, Persnikitty was cast off by Chapman to the Animal Control cell ... which is where he meets Garfield.
