Quincey P. Morris
Quincey P. Morris
Quincey P. Morris was a Texan living in London who had the misfortune of meeting and falling in love with Miss Lucy Westenra. Although she decided to marry a minor noble, he remained close to her when she became ill under the spell of Dracula, helping her husband and other jilted lover in hunting for her killer. He represented everything about Americans which terrified the British, particularly his fondness for publicly displaying firearms. After managing to shoot and kill several gypsies who were sheltering Dracula, he was killed in combat against them, after he stopped the wagon which was carrying Dracula's coffin. He was the only member of the party who died according to the book. Largely ignored in movies, his role in the book was small, but significant.
