Ruthie grew up in the same town as the Burns family. Growing up, she was teased for having a pig nose. In later life, Ruthie went on to become a doctor and later a plastic surgeon; helping save burn victims and children born with birth deformities. By the looks of things, she's also been a patient, given that her nose is no longer shaped like a pig's.
