Shauna Malwae-Tweep is a young female reporter at the Pawnee Journal in Pawnee, Indiana. She covers City Hall and often interviews Leslie, who tries to write all of Shauna's headlines and speaks in what she thinks would be appropriate language for Shauna's articles. Shauna seems to be good at her job, often digging deeper and asking good follow-up questions when the need arises. She is also fairly easily drawn to men she encounters while on assignments, having flirted with, dated or otherwise expressed interest in nearly every male character on the show who is at or around the age of 40 and younger.
