Grand Marshall Skaldak is the greatest hero of the alien Ice Warriors, a race of reptilian humanoids from Mars that are biomechanical cyborgs. He commanded the Nix-Thassis fleet with his daughter. He is frozen in ice for 5,000 years and thawed by a Professor Grisenko, a Russian scientist, in 1983, when he wrecks havoc on a submarine, prompting the Eleventh Doctor to come to its rescue.
