Sonata is a siren pony and one of the main antagonists of Rainbow Rocks. When Aria and Adagio are arguing at the beginning of the film, she enters the argument and doesn't pick up on Adagio's sarcasm when she says she loves the human world. After they all spot Equestrian Magic, they head to Canterlot High and she almost gives them away when being given a tour of the school by Sunset Shimmer. Adagio and the others put a spell on the school and gain more energy as the arguing and conflict becomes more serious. As the Mane 6 begin to argue she 'accidentally' gives Trixie the idea to trap them under the stage. At the final performance, the Mane 6 fight back and she joins her siren friends in overpowering them. Sunset Shimmer steps in and renders them tone deaf. Sonata and the others are booed off of the stage. Sonata is shown to be rather ditzy, airheaded, carefree and a little out of touch with reality. She is also shown to only really care for tacos.
