Sophia is the young daughter of Carol and Ed Peletier. Like her mother, Sophia is meek and mostly quiet, forming a tentative bond with Carl after joining the group of survivors in Atlanta. She grew up in an unstable household in which her father was abusive to her mother. Sophia experienced a different form of abuse, being largely ignored by Ed since her birth. Also like her mother, Sophia eventually begins to build more confidence.
