A handsome, chain smoking, rich preppie with a penchant for parties and suits. Steff McKee is Blaine's best friend who tries to break up the relationship between him and Andie, due to jealousy. Steff actually has a crush on Andie since he couldn't get his hands on her or corrupt her. He tries to get Blaine to stop talking to her and barely suceeds, but is instead told off by Blaine at the prom while trying to sidestep him, after seeing and being amazed by Andie in her 'nice' dress. He is pretty much the villain of the movie, excellently played by James Spader.
