The Vizier is the predominant antagonist in the entire The Sands of Time series and remains the greatest enemy that the Prince of Persia ever fights. His lust for immortality and power is his driving force and he will go through any obstacle in order to obtain that power.The Vizier's name comes from Vizier , a term for a high-ranking political (and sometimes religious) advisor or minister, often to a Muslim monarch such as a Caliph, Amir, Malik (king), or Sultan. In modern usage, the term has been used in the East generally for certain important officials under the sovereign. It is also used anachronistically or in a modern Islamic republic's cabinet.
