At John's house, Tim and him are adjusting the motorcycle and listening to Guns N' Roses. John's foster parents Todd and Janelle Voight make several fruitless attempts to get John to clean up his room, but he just ignores and ridicules them and leaves on his bike with Tim. John is stealing money from an ATM. Tim finds a picture of Sarah in John's bag (it is the picture taken of Sarah from The Terminator, and was later given to Johns father, Kyle Reese), to which John comments that Sarah is a complete psycho, because she got arrested for trying to blow up a computer factory. They take off, missing the searching Terminator by a few blocks. John then drives with Tim through an abandoned canal, while the Terminator passes overhead, identifies him and lays in a pursuit. At the mall in a game hall, the T-1000 bumps into Tim who is getting some more quarters. He shows Tim John's picture, Tim pretends he doesn't know the person, but quickly walks back to John and warns him that a cop is looking for him. Tim attempts to misdirect the T-1000, who has already spotted John, by saying he went somewhere else, but gets knocked out of the way.
