Vivian Banks as portrayed by actresses Janet Hubert and Dapne Maxwell Reid was the wife and mother of the somewhat aristocratic but funny family of The Fresh Prince Prince Of Belair series. Mrs. Banks was wife to black judge who constantly took ribbing for his idiosyncracies and wisdom as father to his own children and a nephew. Mrs. Banks in both Miss Hubert and Miss Reid also rendered sage advice and childrearing amongst the funnier elements of black people in Southern California being part the Belair class set.
