Although he has an option to hang with more popular kids, he is loyal to Veronica because of the way she helped him when others just laughed at him.Wallace and Veronica are close but their relationship is not romantic. Although he sometimes gets annoyed at the one-sided nature of the favors he does for her, ultimately they love each other.Wallace and his mother came to Neptune seeking a better life after troubled times in Chicago. Wallace does not know his father.
