Zafrina is a South American vampire and along with Senna and Kachiri, she is a member of the Amazon Coven of vampires (and possibly the leader). Unlike the Cullens, the Amazonians do not adhere to a vegetarian diet. Zafrina is a particularly talented vampire with the supernatural ability to create visual illusions. She is also an ally of the Cullen familyThe members of the Amazon Coven are described as wild looking women, and may have caused the human legend of the Amazon female warriors of great ferocity. They wear nothing but animal skins - hide vests and tight-fitting pants that laced on the sides with leather ties. The women look as though they'd been stretched - being tall and muscular, with long arms and legs, long fingers, long black braids, long faces with long noses, dark skin, and they have restless crimson eyes , moving in sudden and darting ways. Bella claims she has never met any vampires less civilized.
