She is attending highschool in Tokyo, and is regarded as a nerd and uncool by Vanessa and Miyuki. They take her to the house to play a practical joke on her, but it goes horribly wrong when Kayako actually appears to her. When her friends start disappearing, and later reappears as begrudging ghosts, she becomes metally unstable and flees the country, and joins her parents back in Chicago. She is still haunted, and soon, all the people around her are dying mysteriously. In the end, Jake confronts her over the terrible things that are happening around them. He staggers back when he glimpses two eyes blinking in the back of the hood she wears over her head. Two pale hands reach from inside her hoodie, and drags her under. Her clothes fall in a heap onto the ground, empty.
