Anton Solonik is the red-headed chief lieutenant of the Gotham crime-boss known as The Russian. At least he was before he was wounded in an assault on rival crime-lord Sal Maroni and left for dead on the deck of Maroni's yacht. Anton is rescued by the Batman and taken to Gotham Central Hospital, where he agrees to turn state's evidence on his former boss. Before he can do so, Anton is silenced by a mysterious sniper--the assassin Deadshot.
