Brian Fuller is a member of Dave Rygalski's band when Lane Kim is looking for a band that needs a drummer. However, once the band starts to get a few local gigs, Dave goes off to college, and Gil joins the band, which uses the name Hep Alien. Brian has asthma, so he has to breathe loudly at times, which can annoy other band members, particularly Zack. Eventually, Brian, Lane and Zack end up renting an apartment together in Stars Hollow. Brian never has a girlfriend, but he develops a bit of an interest in Kyon, who lives as a Korean exchange student in the Kim household after Lane moves out. When the band is not performing or on tour, Brian works in a realty office.
