Cam is the partner of Mitchell Pritchett, with whom he adopted a daughter named Lily. Cam is a stay-at-home dad. He is emotional and quite flamboyant and describes himself as being like Costco; I'm big, I'm not fancy and I dare you not to like me. Cam is a social butterfly and wants to be liked by everyone, and he's also insecure in many ways and feels slighted easily. He especially has a flair for the dramatic when he feels he's being criticized.Cam grew up on a farm in Missouri and loves telling tall tales of the various mishaps that he's seen, including frozen cows and once making a slingshot that propelled a pumpkin the length of a football field, which prompt extreme eye rolls from Mitchell. The two have a loving relationship and balance each other out nicely. Cam's over-the-top mannerisms and approach to life are complemented by Mitchell's more straight-laced, low-key personality.Beyond the farm life in Missouri, Cam has quite a broad background as he played center for the University of Illinois football team, is a professionally trained Auguste clown and is an accomplished rock drummer who got a chance to show his chops when he sat in for Haley's boyfriend Dylan's band. Cam also fancies himself a musical and theater director and has jumped at opportunities to perform in these capacities at Manny and Luke's school.
