Carl Roebuck is the owner-operator of a construction company in a small town in New York State. He is something of a rogue with a love-hate relationship with his sometimes employee Daniel Sullivan. He refuses to take responsibility for Sully's on the job knee injury since the terms of employment were under the table wages and thus no employee health insurance.Despite being married to a beautiful wife, Toby, he is a philandering serial womanizer who cheats with a succession of secretaries .Carl and Sully also have a continuing battle of wits concerning poker games, a snowblower, an old house and a rotweiler.
