Daniel Hale is a Secret Service agent working for Vice President Caroline Reynolds. His partner is Agent Paul Kellerman, who he has known since they served in the Army together. Hale initially goes along with the plan to frame Lincoln Burrows for the murder of Reynolds' brother but increasingly starts to question the lengths to which he and Kellerman are asked to go to keep the conspiracy hidden, putting his family at risk.
