Ender Wiggin, boy genius and shunned as a third, is the youngest of three children; his 2 older siblings are Peter Wiggin and Valentine. The story starts with him at the tender age of 6, but already he shows signs at times of a ruthless need to win. Being remarkably talented, Ender is chosen to enroll in the Battle School in outer space and train to defeat the upcoming threat of the Buggers (Invasion Number 3.)
