Frank Buffay Jr., is Phoebe's younger half brother. They don't meet until he is a grown teenager. His hobbies are melting stuff . While in school, he started dating Alice Knight, a high school home economics teacher, who is much older than him. They end up getting married and want children right away. However, they could not conceive. Frank asks Phoebe if she can be a surrogate for their future child, spending thousands of dollars on the treatment with only one shot. She gladly accepts. She ends up becoming pregnant with triplets; two girls and a boy. Phoebe names one of the girls Chandler, after Chandler Bing, thinking the baby was going to be a boy, (the ultrasound was wrong), the other girl is named Leslie, chosen by Alice, and the boy is named Frank Jr Jr, named after Frank himself.As the triplets get older, Frank has a hard time keeping up with parenthood, and claims he hasn't slept since they were born.
