Sophie is Rachel's coworker at Bloomingdale's. Their boss is Joanna. Not a lot of information is given about Sophie, except that Joanna doesn't like her and is always insulting her and accusing her of kissing up, etc. When Joanna dies after getting hit by a cab, while Rachel is upset because there's no documentation of the promotion Joanna had promised her, Sophie can do nothing but smile.
