ENSIGN HARRY KIM graduated from Starfleet Academy to begin a promising career in engineering and analytical operations aboard the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656 when the ship became stranded in the Delta Quadrant.Kim, engaged at the time of his disappearance, made his mark on the Starfleet Academy campus, having served as editor of the newspaper when it published a series of controversial articles about the mounting Marquis problem.Though he enjoyed a stellar academic career and welcomed the challenges and adventures of exploration, Kim was nevertheless concerned and nervous about living up to his own high expectations. He feels the loss of home and family as a raw wound shortly after the U.S.S. Voyager's unfortunate detour.
