Having regularly been referred to for the first two seasons, but not seen until the third season, Janet is Louie's ex-wife. He maintains a reasonably cordial relationship with her, but their differences can be seen even in their brief conversations. In the third season, she urges him to go for a particularly challenging job so that he can finally be a good role model for their daughters.
