Jessica is a talkative and gossipy Forks High student. She is one of the first to welcome Bella on her first day of school. She is romantic interest for Mike, who is one of the jocks attending Forks High School. Mike has a crush on Bella, Jessica notices this and fights the urge to be jealous of Bella. As she knows this would let her reputation down. Instead she befriends Bella and is there for her whenever she needs her. Mike soon realizes his feeling for her and asks her out to prom. They decide to be friends and they are most happy that way. She soon discovers that Bella has an interest in Edward Cullen the hottest guy at school and advises her against him through her own experiences of trying and getting turned down. Bella can resists so when Edward and his family move away. Bella is severely depressed and when Bella tries to get over this depression she ring Jessica to go shopping with. Jessica agrees whilst talking endlessly, Bella discovers something. Jessica is doesn't know what is going on but is worried. She consist to be a strong friend to Bella. In her last year and graduation she becomes Valedictorian, (Head Girl, highly respected and commended for her hard work), she make a powerful speech, which she was very nervous about, while trying to make the speech she realizes that even is she makes a mistake it's okay, in which she then bases her speech on and the experiences of life. This truly inspires her whole year, including Bella! Jessica is mistaken to be ditsy when she really isn't.
