John Wilkes Booth was an American actor, he came from a noted family of actors which included his father Junius Brutus and brother Edwin, but Booth, gained a rather infamous spot in history for murdering President Abraham Lincoln. Booth was a Confederate sympathizer and a supporter of slavery, and disliked the fact many things Lincoln had done in his adminstration, he may of also had a family history of mental illness.
