Crassus accuses her of aiding the rebels in their escape & sells her to the Cilician pirate Heracleo, who brands her with his initial. Betrayed by her own people, sold & branded a slave, she comes to understand the injustice of slavery, eventually sides with the rebels & becomes Spartacus' lover.
