Maxwell Burke is a lieutenant serving aboard the U.S.S. Equinox as first officer. He serves under the command of Captain Rudy Ransom when the vessel is stranded the Delta Quadrant. He attended Starfleet Academy with B'Elanna Torres, officer on the U.S.S. Voyager, with whom he was romantically linked.
