Marquez was in a relationship with Carolina, until he found out it was a setup to lure him to El Mariachi. Marquez is shot in the chest by Carolina and left for dead, but survives.Marquez attempts to kill El Mariachi and Carolina several times before he finally succeeds in killing Carolina and her (and El Mariachi's) daughter.Marquez is shot inboth kneecaps then in the face by El Mariachi during an uprising at the presidents HQ.
