Martha Hanson is a woman who works at FBI headquarters and serves as an assistant, of sorts, to supervisor Frank Gaad. She had, in the past, maintained a romantic relationship with an FBI agent names Chris Amador, who is now the partner of Stan Beeman. Amador seems to want to rekindle his relationship with Martha, or at least continue to have sex with her, but she wants no part of it.Part of the reason for her disinterest is that she's moved to a man named Clark, who she met through a series of classified interviews he's done with her in an attempt to gain information about the FBI's dealings for his work with the Committee on United States Counterintelligence Agencies. She doesn't know that Clark is really a KGB spy who goes by the American name Phillip Jennings.
