Maya Hart is best friends with Riley Matthews. The Show is in its 2nd season and continues to get better and better. So far, we know that Maya lives with her mother Katie, who works very hard to make a living and care for her daughter. All we know about her father, Kermit Hart, at this point is that he abandoned his daughter Maya and x-wife for another family. Maya looks up to Shawn whom they both discover have much in common. Shawn attempts to be like a father figure to Maya and cares very much for her. Maya has hopes of getting Shawn and her mother together. Maya is tough and can usually handle herself in tough situations. She loves to mess with her friend Lucas and the fact he's from Texas. Although lacking self-confidence, Maya is actually a very talented artist and it shows in her drawings and paintings. She sings beautifully as well.
