Mitchum Huntzberger is the father of Logan and Honor Huntzbergerand husband to Shira Huntzberger. He is extremely wealthy and owns multiple newspapers. At the end of season 5, Mitchum gives Rory an internship at a small newspaper. Once her internship ends he tells her the she doesn't have it . This then provokes Rory steal a yacht with her boyfriend Logan. After she is arrested and bailed out of jail, she decides to take a year off of Yale.
