Mrs. Jennings is the mother of Charlotte Palmer and Lady Middleton. It is her pride that she was able to marry her girls of so very well and, in consequence, tries to do so with every girl in her reach. She is somewhat ordinary in her behaviour, very noisy and totally indiscret. Gossip rules her day. Every day.
