Owen Cavanaugh is Alicia Florrick's younger brother, who is gay. He is a college professor in Oregon and is unlucky in love. He is open and warm but also impetuous and tends to speak before he thinks. He holds a grudge against Peter Florrick for cheating on his sister and accuses him of homophobia. Nevertheless, he and Alicia generally have a close relationship.
