James Paul McCartney was born on the 18th of June, 1942, in Liverpool, England, UK. From 1962 to 1970, he was the bass guitarist and backing vocalist for The Beatles , a pop/rock group, formed by Paul and his friends, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were the most succesful music act in history. When Paul left the Beatles, he joined a group, called Wings . Paul had short black hair, and an ordinary face.
